I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.
Have you ever seen an angel? Mm…The Bible has a whole lot to say about angels. They’re God’s Messengers. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have Jesus by your side 24/7. In the book of Matthew chapter 28 verse 20, Jesus says that he will never leave you, “Teach them to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.” (ICB) That’s V.I.P., (Very Important Protection) all the way.
Let’s read all about this earth-shattering news bulletin in God’s Word….In the book of Luke chapter 2 verse 8 to 11, An angel had a momentous message to deliver and the shepherds who were tending their sheep heard the good news first. Jesus was born and He had to proclaim it from the housetops! It says, “That night, some shepherds were in the fields nearby watching their sheep. An angel of the Lord stood before them. The glory of the Lord was shining around them, and suddenly they became very frightened. The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, because I am bringing you some good news. It will be a joy to all the people. Today your Savior was born in David’s town. He is Christ, the Lord.” (ICB)
Wow, that’s extraordinaire with a cherry on top! The King of Kings, Lord of Lords was born! I don’t know about you, but I would have been a bit shaken, but at the same time amazed to see an angel standing big and tall too, not to mention being one of the first to get the good news about the Savior of the World’s birth, spectacular to the zillionth degree!
Let’s see how angels were on the scene when someone needed help ASAP! In the book of Psalm 91 verse 11 it says, “He has put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go.” (ICB)
Sounds good to me, God got your back! Keep moving forward and check out Psalm 34 verse 7, “The Lord saves those who fear him. His angel camps around them.” (ICB)
Do you know the story about Daniel who came face to face with a few starved lions with voracious appetites? Well Daniel was thrown into their lion cave when he wouldn’t comply with the King’s ruling, so he was punished for his refusal…In the book of Daniel chapter 6 verse 16-23 it says; “So King Darius gave the order. They brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May the God you serve all the time save you!” A big stone was brought. It was put over the opening of the lions’ den. Then the king used his signet ring to put his special seal on the rock. And he used the rings of his royal officers to put their seals on the rock also. This showed that no one could move that rock and bring Daniel out. Then King Darius went back to his palace. He did not eat that night. He did not have any entertainment brought to entertain him. And he could not sleep.
The next morning King Darius got up at dawn. He hurried to the lions’ den. As he came near the den, he was worried. He called out to Daniel. He said, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Has your God that you always worship been able to save you from the lions?”
Daniel answered, “My king, live forever! My God sent his angel to close the lions’ mouths. They have not hurt me, because my God knows I am innocent. I never did anything wrong to you, my king.”
King Darius was very happy. He told his servants to lift Daniel out of the lions’ den. So they lifted him out and did not find any injury on him. This was because Daniel had trusted in his God.” (ICB)
Doing the God thing is much better than doing what others say is the right thing…In the book of Luke chapter 22 verse 43 it says, “Then an angel from heaven appeared to him to help him.” (ICB)
In the book of Acts chapter 8 verse 26 it reads, “An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip. The angel said, “Get ready and go south. Go to the road that leads down to Gaza from Jerusalem—the desert road.” (ICB)
In the book of Daniel chapter 10 verse 19 it states,” He said, “Daniel, don’t be afraid. God loves you very much. Peace be with you. Be strong now, be strong.” (ICB)
Angels are here today, tomorrow and forever. There are so many other angel stories in God’s Word for your to personally check out! Do it today…
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
