I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.
Did you know that Jesus is perfect? Jesus never sinned. Do you know anyone who is perfect? We can’t ever become perfect since we are imperfect human beings in need of a savior who is Jesus! But there’s still hope! We can become more like Jesus. How? you might ask…
First, by accepting Jesus as your personal savior, believing in your heart that Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the grave on the third day. Now, he lives in your heart. In the book of 1 John chapter 2 verse 6, it says, “Whoever says that God lives in him must live as Jesus lived.” (ICB) Then start building that relationship by spending time reading your Bible, obeying what it says, praying, and gradually, you begin to take on characteristics like Jesus…You’re on higher level where kindness, humility, compassion, love, and selflessness rules not on me, myself and I…In the book of Philippians chapter 2 verse 2-5 it says, “If so, make me very happy by having the same thoughts, sharing the same love, and having one mind and purpose. When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.” (ICB)
Let’s continue our Bible exploration about Christlikeness…In The book of Philippians chapter 2 verse 5 it reads, “In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.” (ICB)
And still there are so many Bible scriptures about how Jesus lived his life and how we can become imitators! Let’s check out some of them now…
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1 ICB)
“My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27 ICB)
“That is what you were called to do. Christ suffered for you. He gave you an example to follow. So you should do as he did.”
“He did no sin.
He never lied.” Isaiah 53:9
“People insulted Christ, but he did not insult them in return. Christ suffered, but he did not threaten. He let God take care of him. God is the One who judges rightly.” (1 Peter 1:21-23 ICB)
Hey, now you know someone who is perfect! Don’t delay, get to know him today!
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
