Let’s cut to the chase…GOD CAN DO ANYTHING! In the book of Jeremiah chapter 32 verse 27 it says, “I am the Lord. I am the God of every person on the earth. You know that nothing is impossible for me. (ICB)
The first miracle Jesus brought about was at a wedding when He turned water into wine. Read all about it in the Book of Luke chapter 2 verse 7-11 it says, “Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled the jars to the top. Then he said to them, “Now take some out and give it to the master of the feast. ”So the servants took the water to the master. When he tasted it, the water had become wine. He did not know where the wine came from. But the servants who brought the water knew. The master of the wedding called the bridegroom and said to him, “People always serve the best wine first. Later, after the guests have been drinking a lot, they serve the cheaper wine. But you have saved the best wine till now.” “ So in Cana of Galilee, Jesus did his first miracle. There he showed his glory, and his followers believed in him.” (ICB)
There are so many miracles where Jesus healed all kinds of illnesses…
In the book of Mark chapter 8 verse 22-26 it says, “Jesus and his followers came to Bethsaida. Some people brought a blind man to Jesus and begged him to touch the man. So Jesus took the blind man’s hand and led him out of the village. Then he spit on the man’s eyes. He put his hands on the blind man and asked, “Can you see now?” “The man looked up and said, “Yes, I see people, but they look like trees walking around.” Again Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then the man opened his eyes wide. His eyes were healed, and he was able to see everything clearly. Jesus told him to go home, saying, “Don’t go into the town.”(ICB)
Jesus healed a man who was paralyzed. He could not walk at all.
In the book of Matthew chapter 9 verse 1-8 it says; “Jesus got into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town. Some people brought to Jesus a man who was paralyzed. The man was lying on his mat. Jesus saw that these people had great faith, so he said to the paralyzed man, “Be happy, young man. Your sins are forgiven.”
Some of the teachers of the law heard this. They said to themselves, “This man speaks as if he were God—that is blasphemy!”[a]
- 9:3 blasphemy Saying things against God.
Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he said, “Why are you thinking evil thoughts? 5 Which is easier: to tell this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to tell him, ‘Stand up and walk’? But I will prove to you that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Stand up. Take your mat and go home.” And the man stood up and went home. The people saw this and were amazed. They praised God for giving power like this to men.” (ICB)
Jesus pulled money out of a fish to pay a tax bill.
In the book of Matthew chapter 17 verse 27 it reads, “But we don’t want to make these tax collectors angry. So go to the lake and fish. After you catch the first fish, open its mouth. Inside its mouth you will find a coin. Take that coin and give it to the tax collectors. That will pay the tax for you and me.” (ICB)
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
