I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.
Have you ever seen a rainbow especially after a torrential rain? Rainbows are inspiring, eye-catching, and just nice to look at while releasing a sense of hopefulness and anticipation of something good on the horizon.
For a rainbow to surface you need water, sunlight, and the correct sun angle. Typically, there are seven colors of a rainbow – white, red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, and purple. When you catch sight of a rainbow, you smile. It’s a symbol, a picturesque banner stretched across the sky. It’s sort of like God’s signature and no one else is privy to it. God owns the rainbow forever, in perpetuity, eternally forever…God’s rainbow is His unique fingerprint.
What does the maker and creator of this vast universe have to say about His rainbow?
In the book of Genesis chapter 9 verse 12 to 16 it speaks of an ironclad agreement between God and his creation that He would never break. God’s rainbow settled it forever. With God, a promise is a promise.
“And God said, “I am making an agreement between me and you and every living creature that is with you. It will continue from now on. This is the sign: I am putting my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of the agreement between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth, a rainbow appears in the clouds. Then I will remember my agreement. It is between me and you and every living thing. Floodwaters will never again destroy all life on the earth. When the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it. Then I will remember the agreement that continues forever. It is between me and every living thing on the earth.” (ICB)
God is true to His word. Faithful to the end.
In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 7 verse 9 it says, “So know that the Lord your God is God. He is the faithful God. He will keep his agreement of love for a thousand lifetimes. He does this for people who love him and obey his commands.” (ICB)
A prophet named Ezekiel saw a vision of God with a rainbow within the clouds encircling God. The brightness appeared to be God’s Glory.
In the book of Ezekiel chapter 1 verse 28 it reads, “The glow around him looked like the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day. It seemed to look like the glory of the Lord. So when I saw it, I bowed facedown on the ground. And I heard a voice speaking.” (ICB)
Never know when you will see God’s Rainbow.
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
