I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.
What does it really mean to be free? If someone takes something that doesn’t belong to them, it’s called stealing and they are a thief. There are consequences if they’re caught. Depending on what was stolen, they could spend some time behind bars! Yikes! If you’re a minor, your parents could punish you by taking away extracurricular activities, adding curfews, and limiting internet access for homework only. They could even take away your cell phone!
In the book of 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 16 it says, “Live as free men. But do not use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Live as servants of God.” (ICB)
Yet, there are still repercussions if they’re not caught. Shame, guilt, fear, and a deep spirit of heaviness could weigh their soul down to a bottomless pit… Bondage not Freedom. You could have escaped a lockdown, but still feeling tied up in knots in your spirit.
“The Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (Book of 2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 17, ICB)
In the book of Isaiah chapter 61 verse 1, the Lord says, “The Lord God has put his Spirit in me. This is because he has appointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort those whose hearts are broken. He has sent me to tell the captives they are free. He has sent me to tell the prisoners that they are released.” (ICB)
DON’T GIVE UP YOUR FREEDOM! DON’T LOSE IT!
“We have freedom now because Christ made us free. So stand strong. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law.” (Book of Galatians chapter 5 verse 1, ICB)
JESUS IS THE WAY!
In the book of John chapter 8 verse 36 it says, “So if the Son makes you free, then you will be truly free.” (ICB)
“Then you will know the truth. And the truth will make you free.” (Book of John chapter 8 verse 32, ICB)
Free to be Me in Thee!
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
