I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.

Have you ever been lost? You were on the bus and suddenly, the route didn’t look familiar, in fact, you felt an uneasiness. Oh no, you wailed, I’m going the wrong way! Can you remember the first day at a new school? You walked around in circles forever looking for room 202NE and nearly missed your second period.

God has a lot to say about guidance and direction. In the book of Isaiah chapter 30 verse 21 it says, “If you go the wrong way—to the right or to the left—you will hear a voice behind you. It will say, “This is the right way. You should go this way.” (ICB)

In the book of Psalms chapter 119 verse 105 it reads, “Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my way.” (ICB)

In the book of Psalms chapter 32 verse 8 it states, “The Lord says, “I will make you wise. I will show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.” (ICB)

At times, you are given bad advice, and it missed the mark too. And you know you should not have done that at all. Let’s not forget the multitude of car rides with you on board as a passenger or if you were old enough to have a driver’s license, you were in the driver’s seat. Remember the turn you missed with the next exit miles down the road. Ugh! You get my point.

In the book of Psalms chapter 25 verse 4-5 it says, “Lord, tell me your ways. Show me how to live. Guide me in your truth. Teach me, my God, my Savior. I trust you all day long.”

In the book of Psalms chapter 37 verse 23-24 it reads, “When a man’s steps follow the Lord, God is pleased with his ways. If he stumbles, he will not fall, because the Lord holds his hand.” (ICB)

Always remember what Jesus said in the book of John chapter 14 verse 26,

“But the Helper will teach you everything. He will cause you to remember all the things I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name.” (ICB)
