I love reading God’s Word and you should too, it’s your compass to get you through! In the morning, during the evening or maybe for a mid-day break, just pick up your Bible and read it every day.
Have you ever worried yourself into a tizzy? You worried so much that the worry you were worried about turned into a cyclone of worries. And then, it turned out to be nothing to worry about in the first place! Mm…That’s worrisome. Now you know where I’m going next, no worries.
Leave your worries behind and just pray anyway. In the book of Philippians chapter 4 verse 6-7 it says, “Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks. 7 And God’s peace will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The peace that God gives is so great that we cannot understand it.” (ICB)
Life is full of unknowns. So why worry about what hasn’t happened or probably won’t show up at all? Look at the birds, the birds? Yes, let’s look at the birds…In the book of Matthew chapter 6 verse 25-27 it reads, “So I tell you, don’t worry about the food you need to live. And don’t worry about the clothes you need for your body. Life is more important than food. And the body is more important than clothes. Look at the birds in the air. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns. But your heavenly Father feeds the birds. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds. You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it. (ICB)
And what about all that other mundane stuff? You know, what you’re going to wear today, what should you eat for lunch, the trivialities of everyday life? Well, God’s Word is clear on that too…In the book of Matthew chapter 6 verse 28-32 it states, “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the flowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon with his riches was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers. God clothes the grass in the field like that. The grass is living today, but tomorrow it is thrown into the fire to be burned. So you can be even more sure that God will clothe you. Don’t have so little faith! Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ All the people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things. And your Father in heaven knows that you need them.” (ICB)
God knows exactly what you need when you need it. Put God first place in your life. Live for today and let go of your tomorrows and let God…In the book of Matthew chapter 6 verse 33-34 it says, “The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you. So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.” (ICB)
Give all your worries to the Lord, everything you don’t need to carry. Besides, it’s much too heavy! He’s Got You.In the book of Psalms chapter 55 verse 22 it says, “Give your worries to the Lord. He will take care of you. He will never let good people down.” (ICB)
No Worries
And God didn’t stop there…. More to come later. See you soon and in the meantime read the Bible for yourself.
